September in Vermont is a special place. The temperatures have a chill in the air, people and towns decorate with corn stalks, mums and hay sculptures. It’s paradise for those who love all things autumn and pumpkin spice! And, the hiking is glorious!!!
September is also a busy place in Vermont. Many hotels book out months in advance and we are experiencing a very exciting, busy season at New Life Hiking Spa as well. We are completely sold out from August 15 – 20, but have limited availability from August 21 until October 1, (which is the end of the season this year).
Many people ask when “peak foliage” is in Vermont. Unfortunately, we can’t control when the leaves change, but we have seen them start changing as early as August 15 and peak is usually the last week in September. However, it does vary depending upon the rain and the temperatures in the summer and early fall.
Our last 11-night retreat will be September 20 – October 1, 2018. Anyone staying over a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night must have a five-night stay. We will only be able to do the 3-4-night mini getaway during the nights of Monday – Thursday.
If you are thinking about a September hiking vacation…now is the time to book to guarantee your spot!
